Yeah they do need a #1c. But dare I say that would be an ideal landing spot for Seguin. 2 major UFAs hitting the Rangers in short order.

I personally wouldn't consider Shattenkirk a 1D, I don't think he ever was that in St. Louis either.
The foundation is good but getting a 1C, 1D, 1G are the worst problems to solve. Although NY as a destination is appealing to almost all players so, yeah they could land someone like Seguin through UFA.
