Sure Hanifin only played 18:52 per game, but he was still able to put up more points than any other defenceman on the Hurricanes -- or the Oilers. He had 6 more points in 3 fewer games than Nurse despite averaging 3:23 less ice time per game.

Also, he did that in his third full NHL season as a 20 year-old. At the same age, Nurse played his first full NHL season and put up a total of 10 points while averaging over 20 minutes per game.
