Yeah, I think the drug aspect is a bit of a stretch. I don't think every company in ABQ is going to turn out to be a secret meth distributors.
Kim does seem to be stressed out. Maybe she oversold herself with Mesa Verde and is feeling overwhelmed by everything. Jimmy doesn't seem to be much help in this.
