The Liberals and NDP both sent envoys down to Washington during the Keystone Pipeline stuff, its an age old tradition.


I don't much like it, I do agree with the OP here, that if your representing Canada represent Canada, that doesn't mean that you have to be on the same page as the sitting government. I also think there's a difference between going on a speaking circuit since we're not saying that you can't have freedom of speech. But going to try to "fix" the governments and Prime Ministers performance over there does smack of pettiness and political opportunism.


To me this is the first real misstep for Scheer in terms of how he's going to combat Trudeau.
