FYI, if you attend the hospital prep classes, some of them spend time on this issue. At least they did for us (here in Toronto).

Finally, the Canadian Paediatric Society has updated/reaffirmed their position very recently (Feb 2018), and have great resources on both circumcised and non-circumcised care. It's a good place for unbiased opinion:

As noted in this thread, there are polarizing opinions on both sides but at the end of the day, you'll make the decision on what you think is best for your child and family

Only thing I would recommend is if you get the procedure done for your kid, that it's by a health care provider, and that they use local anesthetic.
