2 - The challenger tour has made significant changes so that there will be larger fields and bigger purses for all the 50-200 ranked players on tour moving forward.
If a guy like Dustin Brown, for example was making $500K a year for playing pretty bad tennis all season I don't think that makes much sense either. You should have to be very good to enjoy all the perks and cash in. If prize money rises at the bottom, it will surely rise throughout the rest of the ranks. As it should, with these major tournaments creating record profits of late.
