I know Price is a huge gamble, but I'd still make it. I have my doubts about how bad his health has really been the last few years - I think he hasn't been playing through nicks and bumps because he knows his team is run by fools.
He played more games than Smith did last year, and he's played 59+ games in three of the last five seasons. At the 2014 World Cup, he was still clearly Carey Price.
I think all the years in Montreal have worn on him, and I think he's done with having to be 1997 Hasek every night to bail out a rube who thought Jonathan Drouin was a #1C.
Were Mike Smith four years younger, I would say the Flames are a dark horse contender. With Carey Price, I think this group becomes the favorite for the division, and a serious threat to come out of the west.
