It's probably best for the Stamps to have at least one team pushing them. That said DD and his staff seem to do a good job preparing them every week regardless of the opponent or importance of the game. They also haven't faced the Bombers or Eskimos yet and losing a few 4 point games could close the gap fast.
Maybe the Riders have unearthed a blueprint on how to stop the Eskimos offense. Lions sent a lot of pressure and had help on the back end for Reilly's jump balls. I think they only completed the one deep ball to Walker in the 4th quarter and several others were knocked down by Lions defenders. Riders played a pretty good game last week but they were unable to defend a couple of key deep balls and that was the difference in that game. The Lions didn't give up the long ball TD.
