I equate male circumcision to piercing a girl's ears when they are a baby. No one is traumatized by it.
I think in North America women prefer circumcised penises, and generally fathers want their son to be cut from the same cloth so to speak.
The fact that its now an extra service that costs hundreds of dollars will pretty much ensure it will slowly die out though. People care, but not that much.
