29th seems bad, but things aren't that gloomy for the Flames. I think he's too hard on Valimaki, but other than that it's hard to argue and there is no denying that we have lacked picks the last few years. The system will be fine. In the mean time we have:

That is some really strong, young talent already in the NHL
