Surprised the Flames bought him out now, as I figured they would do it the next off-season. This must mean that Hanifin will be signed for a longer term deal, which is a smart move. I won't lie - I was kind of interested to see how Brouwer would do under a different head coach, but this is the preferred move by far.
This means probably means that Lazar and Foo will probably both be regulars in the lineup, and that's a pretty good thing. Not only did the Flames lose their worst possession player, but they also lost their slowest player. I predict a much improved season for Lazar, and more points out of the 4th line in general.
