Default Calgary Triple Homicide

Maybe I'm making a mistake posting this, I don't know, but suddenly I'm a bit shattered.

The recent Calgary Triple homicide has had a close impact to me, one of the victims Al Pennylegion was a long time coach in the Calgary Minor Football scene and I had the privileged of coaching with him with the Cowboys for a few years, after he left the organization I would go to minor football games and sit with him and chat. He was a great coach, a good man, and a good dad, he always had a smile on his face and a laugh and these awful jokes.

I won't say that I was a super close friend, but I really liked him, and got along with him well. I loved running into him in the handshake line when I coached against his teams (He was Cowboys Navy, I was Cowboys Gray).

He always was really positive with the kids and the coaches, when he talked bout his boy, he was always so proud, thank god his son wasn't in this mess.

I was set to leave for our first practice of the season tonight, and I was charged up and ready to go, and now I just feel empty.

Rest in Peace Al. I'm blundering on here, I don't know what else to say
