I agree with you, and I understand why they made the move.
I guess overall I am not a fan of making that move mid-season, and I thought that Plummer had battled enough for the franchise they would give him one more shot at going deep.
Cutler is still so young that another half season on the sidelines learning the ins-and-outs of the offense wouldn't limit him.
But like I said, I am loyal like that - I would probably stick it out with a guy in that situation.
However, I do recognize there is a chance that Cutler cutting his teeth (hehe) now might speed up the process (might!).
