I think Tre Wizard gets a 5 or 6 year Hanifin deal done and just squeezes this under the cap without having to buyout Brouwer.

He needs more cap relief options to find caproom next year for Tkachuk (5+m deal) and just in case Bennett breaks out this year with better linemates.

I would rather exercise Brouwer buyout next summer or by some miracle trade him with retained salary at trade deadline (if he resurges).

Tre will need that money then and probably one or both of Frolik or Stone moved in trade.
