Sean Carroll has a podcast! I really like him and he seems to be starting out with some really interesting topics.

The latest one (the first one I'm listening to) features a lady who's education is in astrophysics, but she became a professional poker player, and they talk about how people perceive probability and stuff, super interesting.
She also wrote an article on Vox talking about a paper that came out recently about the Fermi Paradox that concludes that we are probably alone.
Using fresh statistical methods, the paper re-asks the question “Are we alone?” and draws some groundbreaking conclusions: We Earthlings are not only likely to be the sole intelligence in the Milky Way, but there is about a 50 percent chance we are alone in the entire observable universe.
