Linden had a kid about a year ago as well. So citing family reasons isn't unreasonable. But to me the take is that Trev didn't have the patience to watch his bosses try to take shortcuts when the team needs to re-invent itself. And those 4 year contracts to 3/4 liners... How can you defend that?
We all like Beagle as a player. And hell, I wish he was a Flame. But not for 4 years. Christ. That's just a brutal contract. Aside from 2 complete 1st round whiffs Dim Jim has been pretty good at drafting, but his contract negotiations/FA signings have been absurdly poor.
Unless Benning is a puppet for ownership I don't understand why Linden would be let go first.
