Because all of these RFA deals so far have settled more or less as expected, I assume they fully anticipated this cap crunch. And I assume they have their 'get out of jail' planned - however I'm getting a little nervous what that plan actually entails.

As long Gilles matches Rittich and Hathaway Mathew Quin you have 5.5 to sign Hanafin and Kulak becaus Cap geek has us at 14 forward 7D and 2 goalies.
So if you say Hathaway gets 1M compared to Quinn's 700k you have 5.2 - 800k for Kulak is 4.4.
But you can also free up another 900k if you risk Hathaway or Lazar to waivers and only run 13 Fwds. That would give you 5.3 to try to go longer with Hannafin. I don't think that is enough though and you need 6 so Hannafin gets a 2yr 3.75 deal maybe 4 with the bump from Montour
