My wife and I are going from Calgary to Vernon in August to see some of her friends for a couple days. We're looking to break up the drive and would like to stay in either Windermere, Invermere or Radium. I have never been to either of these places and am wondering which one is better to stay in.

Some points to consider:
Our kids aren't coming. This trip coincides with our anniversary so we are leaving the kids with the inlaws.
We don't golf.
We like nice restaurants
Hotels with lots of amenities, possibly a spa and nice views would be great.

Any suggestions?
