While true, lack of prospects is still a real problem, because that's the only way you can get what is the best value-for-money player you can have: an impact player on an ELC contract. IIRC last season all 4 top teams had one. This is a big reason why I'm very iffy about trading way all those draft picks the way we have. They're not just a chance to get a top player, they're a chance to get the kind of top player there's almost no other way of getting. (You can luck out on the Euro UFA market, but that's extremely rare.) It's really difficult to make up for that lost opportunity.
