That's a terrible way to judge roster age.
The Flames only key contributors that are advanced in age are Mike Smith on a one year contract and their captain.
The rest of the core is all very young.
Mohanan, Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Lindholm, Backlund all in their 20s, and Neal.
Giordano, Brodie, Hamonic and Hanifin have one guy in the 30s.
Rosters that have guys like Stajan and Brouwer on the fourth line get weighted upward.
