i did a ride out to UBC and back, route is on strava, i can try to dig it up later. Also you can ride up stanley park, it's quite beautiful, especially early in the am, also on strava. there's a bike pathway that follows all around downtown vancouver. you have to go slower because there is quite a bit of bicycle and foot traffic, but it's a nice ride.
