I'm of the opinion that putting people under pressure or stressful situations is the best opportunity for them to show you who they really are.
And frankly, Burrows under pressure has given plenty of reason to despise him despite whatever community involvement he might have had. The biting incident, the diving, the verbal abuse, and the summer hockey incident... it goes on and on.
