I think that belittling Trump supporters is a losing strategy (the ones that might see reason get alienated)...however, I also think that letting them chirp without pointing out their foibles is a losing strategy too.

I think you deal with these sorts of politically motivated bullies the same way you deal with "that relative" who constantly talks about mystical woo-woo and unsubstantiated magical nonsense. There are a number of methods:

• call her on each and every thing, with references.
• use Socratic dialogue and ask her to explain something she will not be able to explain. She will soon realize she is full of it.
• agree and amplify as a way to mock her.
• consider her on the level of a child. You would not mock a child for not understanding something, right?
• ask her if maybe all that alternative lifestyle is giving her all of those diseases that the osteopaths diagnosing her with.
