ROR - 7G 14A 21P in 1169 minutes <- Most common linemates Sam Reinhart, Kyle Okposo, Benoit Pouliot
Bennett - 10G 12A 22P in 978 minutes <- Most common linemates Mark Jankowski, Garnet Hathaway, an old injured guy resembling Jaromir Jagr
Even looking at the last handful of years Bennett's been more productive 5 on 5 and I don't think that's because he was playing with better linemates:
ROR as a Sabre: 26G 44A 70P in 3328 minutes
Bennett NHL career: 36G 38A 74P in 3128 minutes
IDK about you but I wouldn't build teams based on how guys produce 3 on 3 or even 4 on 4 since those things usually have more to do with
whether or not you play than
how you play, unless you're Gaudreau-level elite 3 on 3.
ROR IS a good player but he's no better than Backlund defensively, he's not unseating Monahan on the PP, and he's been outproduced by Bennett at 5 on 5. At that cap hit it wouldn't make any sense. It's going after a big name for the sake of going after a big name.

So were Shea Weber, Jay Bouwmeester, Jake Muzzin, and Corey Perry. What are you willing to give up for any of them?
