It's not a trade that gets done without a 1st round pick or equivalent prospect (like Valimaki). Of course the prevailing opinion here would be "Acquire high value piece for one medium value piece + stuff nobody wants" but that trade is unlikely to happen. I don't think the Sabres are at all worried about having ROR on the team in the fall if nobody wants to pay a good price, especially since we'll have already paid him his salary pretty quickly here.
