Do people that are ones friend know each other in RL first? I goto MRC, and search through the people who also go there and saw a few aquaintances, do people normally add them? that almost seems odd to me still. I'm still not at the point where I understand this. To me I would want to go up the the person in RL and tell them that I saw them on FB, and that Ill add them to my friends next time im on there.

EDIT: btw who is Frank Boobie? sorry if that is really someone and their real name, but to me since it has no picture and no network, I assume its a fake? does Frank sound like Fake if you say it outloud?

You can look at people's profiles if they are in the same network as you. (ie, same school, city etc.). If you see people you know just add them, might seem weird at first but its basically the basis of the site.. once you start adding people people will start adding you too.
You can look at their pictures and some other more personal stuff if you have added them as your friends.
I didn't like it when I first signed up, thought it was kind of pointless.. but then once you add lots of friends.. start posting on other peoples wall... look at what other people are up to it gets kind of cool/addicting. I still really only spend like 15 min a day on there.. but i know lots of people that are on it for hours at a time.
