Wouldn't that be exactly the opposite of how Ryan was utilized in Carolina? He was on the ice for offensive zone starts and the PP. He was never utilize on the PK.
65.5% offensive zone starts vs 34.5% defensive, according to hockey reference.
22 seconds average of shorthanded time vs 2:01 of PP time.
This is not a Stajan replacement on paper. Stajan was deployed as a defensive center.
