If the Leafs do sign Tavares imagine how Dubas will be feeling. Talk about a great start as a new GM. Leave the Marlies as a champion come to the Leafs and sign Tavares in free agency.
Plus kind of an FU to Lou and Hunter. I'm sure Dubas wasn't too pleased the way they left.
