I went through 2 bottles of the 16 year and it is decent. it's got that rich highland Macallan taste to it, no peat or smoke. But if I can be honest, I always felt weird drinking a Costco branded single malt. It was always on the back of my mind, eventhough it is a good and legit scotch so maybe it is better than I can describe.
The Macallan 15 from Costco on the othere hand is delish. Other favorites are Higland Park 18 and GlenDronach 18. And the Glenlivet 12 at $37 is a steal too. Really decent scotch.
Took me a while to appreciate scotch and all it took was a glass of Dalhwinnie 15 followed by Oban 14 and Lagavulin 16. Drinking them neat was the key to really recognize all the flavours.
Most dissappointing bottle? Glenfarclas 21. Candy cane taste is interesting, but it's got no spice and has a very weak finish.
