The 2016 draft is actually quite similar to the 2014 draft, although the results have been much different:
1st round, high pick - draft skilled forward from CHL
2nd round - draft goalie from CHL
2nd round - draft forward from CHL
3rd round - draft defenceman who was signed to play US college hockey
So far:
Tkachuk >> Bennett
Parsons >>> McDonald (in terms of development)
Dube >>> Smith (in terms of development)
Fox >> Hickey (although both are now gone)
