The GMG Daniel Boone I bought is essentially the same concept as a Traeger. I think the GMG are a better built grill. I talked to the guy at Costco Traeger roadshow and he wasn't super knowledgeable about grills, just a sales job not a passion. They also were all out of the 22inch grills so they had the super huge 32" and the little tiny grill that I'm not sure what you would do on it.
I bought mine at Paradise Bay, I think they are the only retailer in Calgary that sell GMG. The guy I talked to there was pretty into grills.
Although with Costco you get the no risk money back guarantee, so that is probably worth something.
