Of course as always in the cap world, cap hit will be the biggest factor in the quality of this move.
Seems to me like the Flames aren't signing Ryan for the fourth line. He will be playing third line I would bet. Which bumps Jankowski to the 4th or the wing.

I'm sure it's a typo and you don't think he ran Calgary's bench last year.
However, if he runs the bench like it was run in Calgary last year, and Ryan is your Brouwer, then Ryan will be a fixture on the PP no matter what his on-ice product is.
