Imagine you are Dougie Hamilton. You like playing hockey with your brother, you appreciate the team picking him up, but you
can live without him on the team.
However, rumours spread that you demanded your brother be on the team, but that's not true. Over the next 2 years and until your brother is traded, you keep hearing the same baseless rumours and have no idea where they are coming from. Over all this time, they've started to annoy you. You know the media talks about it, you know fans talk about it.
And the day comes when your brother finally leaves the team.
What's the first question you get asked about after practice the next day? How do you feel after two years of these accusations? How are you supposed to respond?
