To add onto the toughness discussion, I think that Hogstrom was brought in to play up and down the lineup in case of injury. He's a hitter, seems to play a lot like Englland. He is also 29 years old and a mostly finished product. I don't think that it's such a huge jump for defensemen coming from the Swedish Elite League, as he just needs to get used to the gaps closing quickly.
(It wouldn't surprise me if Kylington starts the first dozen games to get him used to the show, while Hogstrom plays big minutes in Stockton. They then switch and Kylington plays the big minutes to continue his development.)
Shore isn't a fighter, but isn't a pushover either. And Janko is huge. Also not a fighter, but I could see him leaning on a few guys.
