That might be interesting but Ennis is done as an NHL player, would we just buy him out or have another Brouwer in the lineup? And who would go still, Ennis doesn't have that much negative value.

I think I would rather they sign Neal or JVR. Well Tavares ideally, but that's not going to happen. The back half of those ufa deals might not be great but I think it's less risky than trading anymore futures imo. Brouwer was already mediocre and a bad signing the moment he was acquired, same with Raymond. Just because the Flames have been burned by signing bad ufas in the past doesn't mean they should be scared of signing good ones now.
