This is me ...
I went from "oooh that's more than I like" to "this makes sense" given the fact the Flames were told Fox wasn't going to happen.
All along it's two core pieces for one, better balance, they didn't create a hole by trading Hamilton for an elite winger, they added the winger (not elite) and a potentially elite defenseman to fill the hole they were creating.
This isn't a fire Treliving moment for me, it's a thank god he's been extended.
