Over the last 4 seasons, Lindholm averages 41 pts per 82 games played and is 23 years old and a controllable asset for at least 3 years.
Ferland averages 29 per 82 games played and is 26 years old and a year away from UFA.
Elias Lindholm is a large upgrade offensively, and there simply is no argument otherwise.
Flames lose some size for sure, but that is all they lose when comparing the two.
