The biggest bummer for me is giving up a player like Hamilton, but I think he's a few steps away from being of "franchise" quality. I think he has the established skills to be a long-term #2 on any team.
I think Hanifin has that potential (not franchise, but perennial #1-2), and is already on a development path very close to Hamilton's.
If this means the Flames get that coveted top 6 right-handed player, it works out pretty evenly.
