I am shocked that Carolina would give up on both of these young players so quickly. Two #5 overalls, and only 21 and 23 years of age.

I think people are under-rating Hanafin here, in relation to Hamilton. He is a better skater, and probably has more upside.

Also, I am one of Ferland's biggest fans on these boards, but you would be hard pressed to find anyone outside of Flames fans don't think there is a pretty large gap between Lindholm and Ferland.

It's a risky trade, but we got TWO potential core pieces.

(and I was in the Fox isn't signing camp, the moment he said he was going back for year 3)
