Love it. Flames essentially added two young core pieces for one core piece, a depth winger, and a prospect.
Hanafin was the top-rated defenceman in his draft year and hasn't done anything to disappoint. If you redraft you probably take Werenski, but Hanafin is still looking like a top young d-man.
Lindholm will be a tremendous asset up front, a young RW who can play in the top six, is good on the powerplay, and has an engine that doesn't quit. And he's still improving. Safe to assume he was a Peters favourite, and I'm betting he'll become a fan favourite too. I wanted him when the Flames drafted 5th so it's like to Christmas to end up with both him and Monahan.
Ferland is a decent player but he can't seem to produce unless he's on the top line.
With Fox, it seems the Flames brass weren't confident they'd be able to sign him. I'm assuming he does his fourth year at Harvard.
As for Hamilton, my feeling aren't exactly a secret. A very good offensive defenceman with a great shot. But one-dimensional, undisciplined, and a flake.
