First impressions are not good.
However, some good points brought up on here and Twitter that has me in a wait and see pattern.
Right now I believe Hamilton is the best player in the trade, but I think when things all shuffle out, Hanifin = Hamilton in the long run. Lindholm has a much higher and more dynamic ceiling than Ferland. And this trade has to indicate that Fox was going to be a long shot to sign. Even if he is a great prospect, his value is highly diminished in that case. Would rather have him included as a sweetener to get two solid pieces like Hanifin and Lindholm than either an unknown pick or another problem child.
Still not incredibly positive about this trade, but I am excited about how these 2 players will develop in the Flames system.
