For me to be comfortable with this trade I’d have to see Lindholm + + aquired and signed to a 6 or 7 year deal x 5.25 to 5.5 that would turn into a great really great contract in the second half and it would largely depend on the + +.
Lindholm at 7 x 5.5
Justin Faulk at 2 x 4.83 (contract extension considered final year)
2nd round pick
For
Hamilton
Lazar
one of our 4th round picks
Is that a fair deal?
Would still allow us to trade Brodie + Bennett package for a player like Panarin who was rumoured to have interest in Calgary before choosing Chicago.
Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Jankowski - Panarin
Ferland - Backlund - Frolik
Mangiapane - Dube - Foo
Brouwer
Giordano - Faulk
Stone - Hamonic
Kulak - Andersson
Kylington

I don’t like it without Hanifin personally. I am completely fine if they made the speculated Hamilton for Lindholm and Hanifin because to me it brings in 2 decent players that hopefully have a bright future. It maybe takes the rebuild a half step back but hopefully takes the team further in the future.
I like Faulk as a player but he is a shorter term guy. If we are trading Hamilton I want a star player or something like 2 very good young players.
I would easily do the Brodie Bennett deal but only if we had an extension in place.
