I was gonna buy another Canon but most of them uses AA batteries now and I absolutely hate that so I settled for the Pentax, which has a better zoom but slightly worse ergonomics.

Because they're friggin' expensive and cameras eat them like oysters in a buffet, even the rechargeable ones don't last you that long (per use or lifetime) and it's a hassle having to recharge it every 50 pictures you take. I prefer the blocky lithium-ion rechargeables when it comes to any small electronic devices.
