I like Dougie as a player and a community character. I think that his age, skill, and contract are three very attractive components to his trade value. That being said, I would be upset to see him go.
However, if the return is Hanifin + Lindholm+, in my opinion that makes us a better hockey team in the long run.
Regardless of who you keep or trade for, once Giordano is gone (presumably) in the next 4 years, who do you have left anchoring our blueline?
