Secondly, Skinner is just 26 and already has three 30+ goal seasons and six 20+ goal season in the NHL. He is also a great skater which is a bonus for a team that wants to play fast.

Thirdly, even if Lindholm has topped out, which I doubt he has at 23, he's still a solid two way 45 point C with good underlying numbers and strong face off ability.
Wasn't saying sprong isn't good, not at all. I'd love him on the right side. But Mangiapane had a better ppg in his rookie year when he was only a year older at 21. He's so good he could be a sprong.

Ah so it's skinners goals you like. Fair point. Goodness knows we need someone to put it in the net. Impending contract and lingering concussion issues worry me (though it appears he's worked through those issues).

I don't think Lindholm has topped out either but if he has, it's at what we probably expect Jankowski to get to.

We can't even say they could improve under a different coach. Again, I like the players, just think the value is a little off and the risk is borne by the flames.

I do like the sprong idea though, and even lindholm on the right side. Tkachuk jankowski and sprong or Lindholm would be a nice line.
