Lindholm - you're getting a pretty good 40ptish center/RW. He was riding shotgun with Aho - Staal the whole second half of the year. Considering the numbers the other two guys put up this year, it's hard to see Lindholm putting up too much more with Calgary.
Hanifin - wild card here. He hasn't really shown he can play top4 minutes. I don't really think this is Seth Jones situation. Looking at the Carolina boards, he's been playing bottom pairing D and hasn't really been able to supplant two similar aged players in Pesce or Slavin. Furthermore, IF and that's a big IF, he reaches his upside, he's essentially a D. Hamilton type player.
Why would we take on all of the risk for trading a bonafide top2 D for a 40pt W/C and a player that may or may not be as good as D.Hamilton in a few years?
