Well the Panthers lost once again but it was by no means a crushing defeat. Panthers GM Dave Penney said he was happy about coming back from being down 4 goals to make it a 4-3 game.
"We showed a lot of heart tonight by coming all the way back" said Penney.
The Panthers might have lost the game but certain individuals continue their SUPER hot play for the club. Olie Jokenin continues his scoring streak by notching another goal today. He has now gone 9 games now in a row with at least scoring a point and has a total of 20 points in 13 games this year. He is now 3rd overall in the league in points, sitting only 2 behind the amazing Ilya Kovalchuk.
Possibly the best defenceman in the league, Radik Martinek is now tied for 2nd in the league for +/-. His solid defensive play has been the subjust of many trade rumor as of late but Panthers GM Dave Penney has yet to bite the bullet and trade him.
Nathan Dempsey is the 9th highest defensive scorer int he CPHL. Pairing him with martinek all year, this duo has really demonstrated a great work ethic and has really shocked a lot of people around the league.
Brad Boyes and Jonothan Cheechoo are also in the running for the top rookie. Each player is getting quite a bit of icetime and will have plenty of opportunity to be the top candidate for the Calder...
