As long as you have a clean front yard and don't have scrap vehicles lying around I don't see the issue.
The one question might be are you buying cars, fixing them, and reselling them because that is a business and if you do that regularly you should have a license. But helping family with automotive repair requiring a license is a ridiculous standard.
