Well yeah, Hoffman and Karlsson are obviously never going to play together again. But there will still be teams interested in acquiring Hoffman. He's not going to be black-balled and out of the league, which is the assertion I was responding to.

The Voynov situation would be mitigated by the fact his wife and him are still together and they have two kids. So when it comes time for the press conference, she can sit there beside her husband, talk about the counselling they've gone through, how she feels their marriage is stronger than ever, etc. etc. I could see him ending up in one of the Russian-friendly New York are teams, like the Devils or Sabres.
