The article suggested that would be the player they buyout. I don’t see any chance that happens but they may look to get out of that contract?
He only had 35pts last year but has been a 50pt player in the past and scored 30 as well. $6M per for another 3 years but he is in the age range of the core. If the Flames are trading Brodie for forward help I prefer this to a Simmonds, Pacioretty type player that is 30+ and in need of a new contract in a year.
